WOLVES are in pole position to beat Arsenal and Chelsea to the shock signing of Thomas Lemar, reports in Spain suggest.
The French winger has fallen out of favour in the Spanish capital, failing to score once in 21 appearances this season.

He joined Atletico from Monaco for £51million but the La Liga giants are already pushing to sell the forward and recoup the transfer fee they paid just 18 months ago.
According to Mundo Deportivo, despite interest from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, Wolves are leading the race to sign Lemar.
And it is stems through their special relationship with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes.
Mendes – known as the ‘godfather’ at Wolves – and has brought several former Atletico players to Molineux already, including Raúl Jimenez, Jonny Otto and Diogo Jota.
The agent has a strong relationship with the Spanish giants and was a vital part of bringing Joao Felix to Madrid from Benfica this summer.
It is claimed Mendes can be ‘essential’ to getting Lemar to Wolves this month.
Wideman Adama Traore has shined in England since leaving Barcelona in 2015.
And Lemar will be hoping for the same results, following a torrid spell at Atletico, who are looking to sell the Frenchman to raise funds for a striker.
It is understood Metropolitano chiefs are open to loaning the 23-year-old until the end of the season with the option to make the move permanent.
But any club will be required to pay £5m to take Lemar on loan and a further £50m to complete a permanent deal next summer.
