CHRIS MEPHAM has dealt club and country a major blow after he was ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
The Bournemouth and Wales centre-back suffered knee ligament damage in the Cherries’ FA Cup 4-0 win over Luton last Sunday.

Mepham will undergo surgery Saturday morning but it is a blow for Eddie Howe’s struggling side, who face relegation rivals Watford at home on Sunday.
And Wales boss Ryan Giggs will also be concerned over the medical bulletin on the 22-year-old ahead of Euro 2020 this summer.
He is due to miss the Dragons’ pre-Euro friendlies against Austria and USA at the end of March.
Mepham confirmed on Twitter: “I have sustained a significant knee injury in the FA cup game on Saturday.
“I will undergo surgery tomorrow and will be hopeful for a speedy recovery. Thank you all so much for the messages.”

Mepham cost Bournemouth £12million from Brentford last January and the injury setback is the latest blow for Howe’s side.
Nathan Ake has been on the sidelines since December 7 with a hamstring problem while Steve Cook and Simon Francis have also had fitness problems in recent weeks.
Mepham, who has won 10 Wales caps, has become a regular under Giggs at centre-back, playing in the wins over Azerbaijan and Hungary as they qualified for Euro 2020.
