TOTTENHAM are facing an injury crisis ahead of their daunting home clash against Liverpool on Saturday.
Talisman Harry Kane will definitely miss the game, meaning Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura will likely start up front.
But it is in midfield that boss Jose Mourinho could have serious problems with.
Moussa Sissoko is definitely out, and he could be joined on the sidelines by Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks.
Ndombele is having issues with his groin, with his Spurs career still to take off.
Winks, meanwhile, has picked up an ankle injury sustained in the 1-1 FA Cup draw with Middlesbrough.
Mourinho will be praying the England man comes through to provide a bit of fight in the middle of the park.
MISSING THE LEADER
Christian Eriksen, the subject of constant transfer rumour, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela could get the other three midfield spots alongside a hopeful Winks.
The back four will likely be the same that played against Middlesbrough, with Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld at centre-half with Jan Vertonghen and Serge Aurier at full back.
Mourinho, who replaced the sacked Pochettino at Spurs in November, has only twice been on the winning side against Red boss Jurgen Klopp in their 10 previous games as opponents.
To do it again, Tottenham will have to rise to the challenge without injured captain Kane.
The club confirmed he won’t return to training until APRIL and requires surgery on a ruptured left hamstring.
That could make him a doubt for England’s Euro 2020 campaign that begins in June against Croatia.
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp suggested it could still be a lot closer than the 28-point gap between Liverpool and sixth-placed Spurs, who have kept only two clean sheets this season.
He told Sky Sports: “I can’t see any other result but Liverpool winning the title, but Tottenham away will be a tough game, make no mistake about that.
“They’ll want to break that Liverpool unbeaten run and it will be a tight game for sure — you wouldn’t write Tottenham off, they’ve got outstanding players in the team.”
