ALLY MCCOIST has been hailed for his “dad dancing” after being spotted on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny.

The Rangers legend was among the crowd at the annual New Year’s Eve bash on BBC Two.

And he got his dancing shoes on as The Selector played Secret Love on the hit show.

Now punters have hailed him on social media after spotting him on the telly.

One said: “Ally McCoist dad dancing on Jools Holland!!!”

While another wrote: “Mental to think Ally McCoist and Stormzy are in the same place”.

We told you last month how the ex-Gers gaffer joked he would get a better reception from Celtic fans at Tynecastle than Rod Stewart would.

The Rangers legend was part of the BT Sport coverage team when Neil Lennon’s men faced Hearts.

And McCoist believed Hoops fans could give him a better reception than Sir Rod – who caused an uproar among the Parkhead support when he tweeted his support for Conservatives leader Boris Johnson.
