Poland’s Malwina Smarzek was a smashing success at the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, hitting past the 30-point mark multiple times to lead her team to reach the final round (Apeldoorn, Netherlands, May 29).


That moment when Canada beat the Czech Republic in a five-set thriller at the FIVB Challenger Cup for promotion to the 2020 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (Lima, Peru, July 1).


USA rallied from two sets down to win their five-set finale against Brazil and complete their mission to win back-to-back FIVB Volleyball Nations League titles (Nanjing, China, July 7).


Japan captured the FIVB U20 World Championship after a brilliant five-set comeback against Italy in the final – truly a hard-earned victory (Aguascalientes, Mexico, July 22).


FIVB U18 Girls’ World Championship runners-up Italy flex their muscles in celebration of a point against the United States in the gold medal match (Ismaila Egypt, September 15).


Kenya’s Jane Wacu Wairimu got to serve the new Mikasa volleyball first at the World Cup and here she celebrates that moment with Vabochan (Hamamatsu, Japan, September 14).


The Power of Zhu – After winning back-to-back FIVB World Cup titles and MVP honours, Chinese superstar Zhu Ting proved that she is a force to reckon with in women’s volleyball (Osaka, Japan, September 29).


Italian star Paola Egonu in strong attacking form during the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship semifinal match between her club Imoco Volley Conegliano and Vakifbank Istanbul, when she scored 38 points (Shaoxing, China, December 7).
