BOCA JUNIORS’ big-name signing Daniele De Rossi is facing the axe after just one season with concerns over his fitness.
The Italian legend was mobbed by fans when he signed for the club on a one-year contract in June.

De Rossi, 36, has managed to make just four league starts having struggled with ongoing injuries.
And it appears new club president Riquelme is growing impatient with the former Roma hero.
According to publication Ole, De Rossi has failed to convince the hierarchy that he is up to the task and is braced to hold showdown talks.
Riquelme was only elected Boca president earlier this month but is wasting no time stamping his authority on the team.
De Rossi is currently on holiday in Rome with his wife and daughters while they enjoy the winter break.
It is reported that he will return to the Argentine capital on January 3 where he will hold talks with club chiefs before deciding his future.
De Rossi ended his 18 year and 616 game career in Rome this summer.
Despite interest from David Beckham’s new MLS side Inter Miami – the Italian opted for a move to Argentina on a free transfer.
