Italian champions Juve are behind Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan only on goal difference as they prepare to welcome 6th placed Cagliari.

Ronaldo has netted 10 goals in 14 league games this season.

Ex-Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, who traded Old Trafford for the San Siro in the summer, has two more than Juve’s No7, having played three more games.

But Ronaldo warned the Belgian powerhouse scoring in Italy is harder than the Premier League.

Lukaku told the New York Times: “He told me this is the hardest defensive league in the world.

“He said he’d scored goals everywhere, but this was the toughest place to do it.

“And if Cristiano Ronaldo thinks it’s difficult, then it must be really difficult.

“It is harder than England. The football is more intense there, but here everything is pattern of play.

“The UK had been good to me. But I had to bounce.”

Ronaldo has five goals in his last four games since returning to the side after a knee injury in November.
