ALAN PARDEW has been named the new manager of Den Haag.
The Dutch side have hired the former West Ham and Newcastle boss with Chris Powell coming in as his assistant.

According to Den Haag, Powell will continue to work as a coach for England under manager Gareth Southgate.
The club are currently 17th out of 18 in the Eredivisie and Pardew, 58, will be charged with getting them out of danger.
He said: “In the search for a new challenge I am glad that I came across Den Haag.
“It is a beautiful and warm club, where everything starts with enthusiasm and passion.
“The team is in a difficult period, but we will do everything we can to turn the tide.
“We must all do that together.
“With the players, the staff, the staff and the fans. Together we go for a comeback.”
Pardew has been out of work since he left West Brom in 2018, following stints with Southampton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.
Former Huddersfield manager Powell tweeted about the “exciting challenge ahead.”
He wrote: “I’m looking forward to starting work @ADODenHaag as assistant head coach to the boss, Alan Pardew.
“We have an exciting challenge ahead at a great club, in a country with a rich football heritage.
“Thank you for the kind wishes, enjoy Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!”
