ANTHONY JOSHUA has once again offered to spar Tyson Fury – even if it means him getting “battered around the ring”.
Earlier this month the re-crowned unified heavyweight champion of the world made his offer to “help Fury bring the WBC belt back to the UK”.

The Gypsy King is set to rematch Deontay Wilder on February 22 with that strap on the line – and he seemed keen to accept the offer.
Despite Fury’s promoter Frank Warren rubbishing it ever happening labelling it “all nonsense”, AJ is ready to put Fury through his paces.
And he wouldn’t even mind if it meant getting a pasting in the ring.
JOSHUA WANTS TO ‘TAKE NOTES’
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 30-year-old Watford fighter said: “It’s all for experience at the end of the day.
“What I learnt from myself and who I am – if I make a mistake once, I don’t make it again.
“Maybe for my benefit I might go in there and just batter him around the ring or he might batter me around the ring.
“If that is the case, I know I can take my notes and go back when I’m ready to fight him and correct all my wrongs.
“Everyone’s like ‘you wouldn’t do it’ but no one knows how my brain works. Everyone talks from their own experiences and I can only talk from my own.
“So when I say I’ll go and spar Fury, it’s because I have a plan in my mind that no one will really understand. I’ll beat him.”
WARREN NOT KEEN FOR SPAR
The two have sparred together previously – Fury admitting Joshua “gave him a beating” back in 2010.
Legendary promoter Warren claimed last week that Joshua is “already backing out” of doing some practice rounds with the former heavyweight champ.
He told the Metro: “That’s all nonsense. Joshua is already backing out of the offer.
“He’s said he can’t believe he said it and we’ve all had those moments.
“Who cares about them sparring each other? We want to see them fight.
“This sparring session will never happen. What’s the point of it?
“It’s about them in the ring together being watched by paying punters, not in the gym.”
AJ’s next fight is likely to be a mandatory defence against Bulgarian veteran Kubrat Pulev.
But it seems AJ’s offer to help is still there – and he thinks Fury bringing the WBC title back to these shores will increase the chances of a heavyweight undisputed fight.
Sending a message to Fury, Joshua added: “If you want the help, I’m always here.
“And if it fits in with my schedule, I’ll definitely be a support to make sure that you bring that WBC Championship back to England.”
