ANTHONY JOSHUA’S offer to spar with Tyson Fury has been blasted as “all nonsense” by the Gypsy King’s promoter Frank Warren.
And Warren claims AJ is “already backing out” of the chance to go toe-to-toe with his Brit rival.

Newly-crowned unified heavyweight champion of the world Joshua revealed that he is willing to fly out to America to help prepare Fury for his rematch with Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.
Just a day later, that offer was accepted with glee by Fury who thinks that sparring with his fellow Brit would help “give Wilder a beating”.
But the prospect of the two going at it in the gym have has cold water poured all over it – by legendary promoter Warren.
He believes that people aren’t bothered what goes on behind closed doors and a PPV fight for real is the only thing that should happen.
The two have sparred together previously – Fury admitting Joshua “gave him a beating” back in 2010.
WILDER NEXT FOR FURY
Warren told The Metro: “That’s all nonsense. Joshua is already backing out of the offer.
“He’s said he can’t believe he said it and we’ve all had those moments. Who cares about them sparring each other? We want to see them fight.
“This sparring session will never happen. What’s the point of it? It’s about them in the ring together being watched by paying punters, not in the gym.”
Joshua, who got ultimate revenge against Andy Ruiz Jr on December 7 to win back his belts, had previously said: “Fury if you need me, if you need me for sparring – we’re going to fight one day.
“I’ve sparred Tyson Fury when we were kids anyway.
“I’ll go out to America to spar Tyson Fury to get him ready for this Wilder fight.
“I would like that fight because I think Fury would fight me faster than Wilder would.”
The Gypsy King responded on social media saying he would “love” for it to happen before congratulating the 30-year-old for his win against Ruiz Jr.
It’s been a busy few days for the Lineal heavyweight champion.
The undefeated heavyweight has split from his trainer and good friend Ben Davison.
He came in for some criticism following Fury’s bloodbath points win against Otto Wallin last time out, with Fury’s dad John particularly scathing.
He will now link up with Javan “Sugar” Hill over in the US.
