And now Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool outfit will test themselves against the best in North America, after the Mexican side claimed the CONCACAF Champions League last season.

The winner will face Flamengo in the final on Saturday, while the loser takes on Al-Hilal in the third-place play-off.

What time does Liverpool vs Monterrey kick off?

This Club World Cup semi-final will take place on Wednesday, December 18.

It will kick off at 5.30pm UK time – that is 8.30pm in Doha.

The match will be held at the Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar.
