SKY TV viewers can get a fresh glimpse of Spanish football on their screens in January when La Liga’s dedicated channel launches.
Two whole matchdays will be broadcast for free before the standalone offering switches to a £5.99 monthly subscription fee.

The recent history of Spanish football on British television has been mired by the failure of Eleven Sports as the streaming service surrendered their rights less than a season into its three-year deal.
ITV picked up the package from the spring and offered a free live game every week in conjunction with Premier Sports broadcasting the rest of the games on their paid service.
That agreement looked set to extend into the 2019/20 campaign but came to an end in September.
That was with the announcement of a new dedicated La Liga channel, which awarded Premier Sports every game for the first half of the campaign with selected matches on their sister channel Free Sports.
Confirmed in September, La Liga TV will finally launch on January 13 on Sky.
The package will cost £5.99 per month for La Liga TV on its own or £11.99 per month as part of the Premier Sports overall subscription.
As an introductory offer, the standalone channel will show games for free from January 17 to 26.
That includes clashes between leaders Barcelona and Granada, Real Madrid travelling to Valladolid, and Athletic Club versus Celta Vigo.
However, Real Madrid’s clash with Sevilla on January 18 and the following week’s match-up between Valencia and Barcelona will not be shown live.
Kicking off at 3.15pm on a Saturday, both matches are subject to UK TV blackout restrictions for football games at that time.
Pundits included in the La Liga TV line-up are largely those already found on Premier Sports’ coverage, including Gaizka Mendieta and Gus Poyet.
