If we were really serious about finding someone capable of solving a crisis and bringing harmony where chaos existed, we should have turned to Nuno Espirito Santo – and saved ourselves all the hassle.

The leader of the Wolves party suffered with the rest of us for almost an hour last night as we all suffered through a boring stalemate.
Then Nuno took decisive action by sending on Diogo Jota for Ruben Neves after 56 minutes.
Thirteen minutes later, Wolves were 4-0 up and Jota had taken just 11 minutes to bag a hat-trick and the match-ball.
Talk about strong and stable leadership!
If only we could have voted for Nuno yesterday.
His side will still be in Europe in February after an astonishing second-half turn-around, which was sparked by Jota.
Just as Wolves looked to have been gripped by paralysis in front of goal, the Portuguese forward swung the match in their favour.
He had been on the pitch for just 77 seconds when he broke the deadlock with his first touch.
Joao Moutinho launched a ball forward which Patrick Cutrone expertly flicked on to Pedro Neto.
The Portuguese winger left two Besiktas defenders for dead and whipped in a cross to the back stick where Jota threw himself forward to score with a diving header.
Five minutes later a Moutinho corner was missed by Besiktas keeper Utku Yuvakuran but Leo Dendoncker’s header smacked off the post and Max Kilman headed the rebound wide.
It didn’t matter because Jota added a second a minute later.
Dendoncker’s 30-yard rocket was superbly pushed on to the poist by Yuvukuran but Jota, who had set up the chance, raced 20 yards to knock home the rebound.

Dendoncker finally grabbed the goal he deserved, powering home a bullet header from a Moutinho corner.
Then Jota brought the house down when he completed his amazing hat-trick after 69 minutes.
Danish wing-back Oskar Buur skipped past two defenders and when he centred Jota was lurking at the back post to expertly force the ball home from close range.
Wolves had already done the heavy lifting earlier in the group to guarantee their place in the last 32 knockout stages.
The only minor irritation was Braga’s late comeback in Bratislava means Wolves did not top Group K and could now land one of the fallers from the Champions’ League.
However with Nuno in charge – and Jota deadly in the box – they really need fear noone.
