Kieran Tierney leaves field with arm in make-shift sling as Arsenal lose TWO full-backs in one night

ARSENAL have suffered another major injury blow after Kieran Tierney appeared to dislocate his shoulder after 30 minutes against West Ham.

It comes after right-back Hector Bellerin was injured in the warm-up with Ainsley Maitland-Niles drafted in as a late replacement.

Tierney, 22, who has struggled for fitness this season with a hip issue, went down under no contact following a Hammers attack.

He looked in obvious discomfort as he clutched onto his left shoulder as the club physios made their way onto the field.

They then made a make-shift sling with his shirt as he headed off the field with Sead Kolasinac coming on to replace him.

The Scotland international was making his first start under Freddie Ljungberg having struggled with a secret shoulder injury.

And it appears he hadn’t fully recovered from the issue and is likely to face the hectic Christmas schedule on the sidelines.

Tierney has a history of a troublesome shoulder that stemmed during his time at Celtic.

He was forced to have surgery on the same left shoulder in 2017 after being forced to play through the pain barrier.

Tierney will now have a scan before determining the severity of his latest setback.

The injury will only add to Arsenal’s woes after seeing Bellerin forced to miss out with a hamstring problem.

Tierney and Bellerin, the club’s two first-choice full-backs, have made just seven Premier League starts between them this season.
