Anthony Joshua has over £100m in the bank after winning back his heavyweight titles from Andy Ruiz Jr

ANTHONY JOSHUA has over £100MILLION in the bank after winning his heavyweight titles back from Andy Ruiz Jr.

The British star, 30, is said to have earned a staggering £52m from the victorious rematch in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

Part of that will have been helped by the fight breaking the UK pay-per-view record, with 1.6m views – which at £24.95 a pop added up to £40m.

But Joshua could double his wealth again and could reach the £200m mark if he lands a monster unification fight with Deontay Wilder.

AJ wants to fight the Bronze Bomber and Tyson Fury – and is adamant he can beat them both.

Going into the Clash on the Dunes, AJ had pocketed £49m from his 23 career fights – including big wins over Wladimir Klitschko and Joseph Parker.

The £52m earned from beating Ruiz has now seen his total career earnings more than double from just one fight, sitting at £101m.

Now Joshua’s team are expecting him to see that number skyrocket further still – should he finally convince American star Wilder to fight him.

Team Joshua member Mark Seltzer revealed: “The sky’s the limit for Josh.

“A mega-fight with Wilder could see them attract a purse of £200m. It’s the fight the world wants to see.

“With money from the Middle East and the Far East now in the sport, countless backers will pay.”

Seltzer then threw down the gauntlet to Wilder, adding: “Wilder constantly quotes ‘one champion’…

“Let’s see how real that is with a serious fight purse on the table with both fighters having an equitable split.”

It will be just the next step for Joshua, who in 2017 revealed he is aiming to become Britain’s first-ever sporting billionaire.

The ambitious boxer has done the sums and thinks it is possible to break the £1BILLION barrier by the time he hangs up his gloves.

Watford’s world heavyweight champ will need to rustle up £284m to replace David Beckham as Britain’s richest sportsman of all time.

Two years ago, ahead of his thrilling win over Wladimir Klitschko, Joshua revealed: “When I first started, the aim was to become a multi-millionaire.

“But now there are ordinary people, grandmas and grandads, who are worth millions just because of property prices.

“So the new school of thought is that I need to be a billionaire. Being a millionaire is good but you have to set your sights higher.

“If I’m making £10m from my next fight, my next target has to be making ten times that. And if I get to £100-150m, why not go for the billion?

“I know self-made billionaires. It’s hard but it’s possible.”

Simplicity is genius AJ revels in big win
