Watch as Chelsea flop Tiemoue Bakayoko forgets his shirt number and thinks he’s being subbed during Monaco win vs Amiens

CHELSEA flop Tiemoue Bakayoko forgot his shirt number during Monaco’s win over Amiens this weekend – mistakenly thinking he was being subbed off.

The French midfielder, 25, saw the No14 raised on the fourth official’s board and believed it to be him – despite wearing the No6.

Bakayoko quickly began to jog off the pitch, while applauding the fans at the Stade Louis II.

But as he reached the touchline, he was screamed at by boss Leonardo Jardim to get back to his position.

The one-cap France midfielder, looking confused, trudged back to the centre of midfield – before bursting into a fit of laughter after being reminded of his kit number.

It’s easy to see why Bakayoko was so perplexed, though.

The midfielder has worn the No14 for much of his career, including at Chelsea, but at the Ligue 1 side that number currently belongs to Keita Balde.

Bakayoko was a Monaco player before he joined Chelsea in 2017 – and he was the previous incumbent of the No14.

He also wore it during his loan spell at AC Milan last term.

Bakayoko was a key member of the Monaco team between 2014 and 2017 – helping them to a shock title win in 2016-17.

His form saw him secure a £40million move to Chelsea – but he has mustered just 29 disappointing Premier League appearances since his arrival.

The Frenchman has been loaned out twice, to Milan and now back to Monaco, with his days at the Blues seemingly over.

Bakayoko is expected to be sold by Frank Lampard’s Chelsea permanently in the summer, with Monaco thought to be keen to make the move permanent.

The midfielder has played ten times in Ligue 1 already this season.
