JAMIE VARDY extended his impressive record by scoring for the eighth game in a row with a comical finish in the 4-1 win at Aston Villa.
The Leicester striker, 32, took just 20 minutes to break the deadlock at Villa Park and he is now just three matches short of equalling his own Premier League record.

A neat front-post finish from Kelechi Iheanacho put the Foxes 2-0 ahead before Jack Grealish pulled one back on the stroke of half-time.
But after the break, Jonny Evans evaded his marker to head in from a corner and Vardy latched on to Dennis Praet’s ball over the top to slide in to round off the scoring.
It was the first goal, though, that ensured Vardy continued his fine run of form – and he was yet again keen to let the home fans know.
Tyrone Mings was already struggling with a hamstring injury and could do nothing to stop the ex-England man finding the net, hobbling back but unable to put a challenge in.
Villa needlessly gave away possession and City pounced with Iheanacho, starting in the Premier League for the first time in a year, threading the ball through.
Vardy chased on to it and took the ball around Tom Heaton to be presented with an open goal.
As Ezri Konsa came across, Vardy almost completely fluffed his lines, mishitting his shot hilariously.
But he recovered well to recompose himself, touching the ball inside and firing into the back of the net.
The Fox in the box then taunted the home supporters in trademark fashion by grinning while cupping both ears.
Vardy’s goal was his 15th of a remarkable season, with ten in his last eight. Leicester had won all seven of those matches in which their talisman scored.
That run started in the 2-1 win over Burnley on October 19 and was followed a week later with a hat-trick in the 9-0 stuffing at Southampton.
Since then he has scored against Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Brighton, Everton and Watford before today’s strike.
If he manages to bag in the league matches against Norwich, Manchester City and leaders Liverpool on Boxing Day, he will match his own tally of scoring in 11 successive Prem games, set in the autumn of the title-winning season of 2015/16.
But Twitter couldn’t help but have a chuckle at the way Vardy opened the scoring in the Midlands derby.
One said: “Jamie Vardy made a mess of that didn’t he. When it’s going for you it’s going for you I suppose. What a player.”
Another wrote: “Everything about that goal was pure Jamie Vardy, the run in behind, the scrappy finish & then the celebration.”
And a final user added: “8th game in a row! Vardy can miss kick it and still score. The man’s ridiculous.”
