OXFORD UNITED star Anthony Forde was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties during today’s draw with Shrewsbury.

The incident occurred just seconds before the break as Forde fouled opposition ace Donald Love but came off much worse following the nasty collision.
And the ex-Republic of Ireland U21 international was instantly taken to nearby John Radcliffe Hospital.
Oxford boss Karl Robinson said: “Fordey couldn’t breathe and was on oxygen.
“We suspect it’s broken ribs, maybe two or three.
“That’s a long one.
“It is what it is right now, you can’t do anything about it.”
It proved to be a difficult afternoon for the U’s as they suffered a further blow as James Henry was also forced off with a thigh problem.
Robinson said: “Jamo’s is a thigh, it looks like that has gone so it could be a four-weeker.
“He felt it at half-time and gave it a go, but it wasn’t to be.”
Despite his patched-up side struggling against mid-table Shrewsbury, the promotion-chasing Oxford boss was delighted to see his side hold on and extend their unbeaten league run to 11 matches.
He added: “In all my years of doing this I’ve never been so proud about a point.
“We’ve just dominated the game after the first 15 minutes.”
