Anthony Joshua isn’t in the same league as Ruiz Jr, Fury and Wilder and would lose to all three, claims Tommy Fury

TOMMY FURY reckons Anthony Joshua is out of his league against Andy Ruiz Jr, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

AJ, 30, attempts to reclaim the unified heavyweight titles on Saturday in Saudi Arabia, after he was stunned by underdog hero Ruiz in New York.

The loss meant potential super-fights against Wilder and fellow Brit Fury were dashed, with Joshua now fighting for his career in the anticipated rematch.

But 2-0 light-heavyweight, and star of Love Island 2019, Fury said AJ is no match for his heavyweight rivals – as he has no head movement.

He told The Metro: “I just feel if he loses this fight convincingly again then he’s got nowhere to go. What’s the point of staying in boxing if you can’t beat the top boys?

“If you ask me personally, I don’t think he beats Wilder. I obviously don’t think he beats Tyson.

“Even if he does come through Ruiz, how far is he going to go because I don’t think he can live with those men. Joshua doesn’t really move his head.

“Tyson’s is the best moving head in the game and he still got clipped by Wilder. Put two and two together, imagine what happens to Joshua against Wilder?

“With Tyson, there’s no way just walking forward with one-twos is going to beat Tyson. You need more than that to beat Tyson.”

Joshua was decked four times on the way to a seventh round stoppage defeat to Ruiz last June at Madison Square Garden.

It leaves a lot of questions going into the Saudi rematch – but Fury is convinced AJ cannot deal with short fighters like Ruiz.

He explained: “He’s earned million upon millions of pounds, he’s won all the titles in boxing, how hungry can a man be?

“He’s got everything going for him and he’s still loved? It’s really if the desire is still there.

“I just think Joshua struggles with shorter fights. He struggled with Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, Carlos Takam and then with Ruiz.

“It’s showed and I just think Ruiz is going to do it again.”
