CRISTIANO RONALDO’S girlfriend has become the latest member of the Portuguese superstar’s inner-circle to publicly throw their support behind him in the wake of his Ballon d’Or snub.
Defiant Georgina Rodriguez, 25, claimed the Juventus forward’s teamwork and passion is what sets him apart after long-time rival Lionel Messi bagged football’s most prestigious gong for a record sixth time.

Ronaldo, 34, was voted a distant third at the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony behind the Barcelona icon and Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk.
And he snubbed the glitzy do in Paris in favour of attending the 2019 Gran Cala del Calcio spectacle in Milan to scoop Serie A’s Best Player award.
In response, Ronaldo’s other-half Rodriguez took to social media to hail the former Real Madrid star for “showing the world how to be number one”.
She wrote on Instagram: “Incomparable, unstoppable, brave and non-conformist.
“There are the stats and the titles and you’re the star with the best results in them, with a UEFA Nations League, a Coppa Italia, a Serie A title and the Serie A best player award.
“But it’s not just the prizes or the titles that speak for you, even though you have so many.
“What says the most about you is your passion, your desire to overcome and your teamwork.
“You’re an inspiration in football and sport for millions and millions of people.
“You’re not scared of challenges and you go out of your comfort zone, surpassing yourself continually and showing the world how to be number one.
“I love you.”
Rodriguez’s line about ‘comfort zone’ seems most interesting considering rival fans often attempt to diminish Messi’s heroics by pointing out that he has spent his entire career in Barcelona.
Ronaldo meanwhile made history earlier this year for becoming the first player ever to win domestic titles in England, Spain and Italy.
His sister Katia Aveiro took a more direct approach than Georgina in hailing the five-time Ballon D’or winner’s greatness by attacking van Dijk.
After the Liverpool star cracked a joke about the Juve striker not being a rival, Ronaldo’s sibling launched an epic rant at the defender for a perceived lack of respect.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez’s latest Instagram post is likely to have netted her a whopping £29,587 every post, almost £6k more than Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo.
