ARSENAL and Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their attempts to land Mauricio Pochettino as Bayern Munich have turned their attentions elsewhere.
Reports in Germany claim that the Bundesliga champions are on the brink of appointing Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel and sparking a managerial merry-go-round.

It was initially believed that Bayern were just one of the top European clubs ready to offer Poch a swift return to management.
The Argentine will not be short of potential suitors following his sacking as Tottenham boss just over two weeks ago.
Pochettino, 47, is open to listening to offers with no plans to take an extended break from football.
The news will be music to the ears of both Arsenal and Manchester United who are huge admirers of the former Southampton boss.
Arsenal are looking for a long-term appointment following Unai Emery’s dismissal while SunSport revealed how United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the brink of the axe.
Pochettino’s availability and willingness to speak to United has only increased the pressure on the board to sack Solskjaer with the club 10th in the Premier League.
The only setback is that Pochettino will need to pay Spurs a whopping £12.5m if he takes another Premier League job this season.
Chairman Daniel Levy included the clause in his sacking to try and deter rival clubs from appointing him as manager.
Pochettino confirmed on Monday that he is ready to listen to offers for a new role.
He said: “I am open to listen to the projects that are presented to me. My intention is to redirect in Europe.
“At my age one does not need much time to recover. There are a lot of clubs and attractive projects for me to take on.”
PSG may also make their move if they lose Tuchel but Carlo Ancelotti remains at the top of their shortlist.
