FA Cup Third Round draw: Liverpool to face Everton while Leeds travel to Arsenal with Man Utd facing a trip to Wolves


LIVERPOOL will face Merseyside rivals Everton in what promises to be a blockbuster FA Cup Third Round tie.

Manchester United face a tricky trip to Wolves with neighbours and holders Man City being pulled out at home to League Two Port Vale.

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham will be heading to Championship strugglers Middlesbrough, managed by Spurs legend Jonathan Woodgate and his No.2 Robbie Keane.

In one of the ties of the round, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will travel south to battle against Arsenal.

And Chelsea were drawn at home to Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams, a three-time FA Cup winner, and former Manchester City star Micah Richards, who lifted the trophy in 2011, were the two men called to make the draw.

Port Vale’s former manager and now club president was delighted to be pulled out of the hat against the holders Man City.

After the money-spinning tie was confirmed, he said:

“What a challenge. It’s fantastic for the players and the crowd to come to Manchester City and play in the third round of the FA Cup.

“We might have to park the bus a few times!

“It will help the new owners, who have done well. We will all be looking forward to it.”
