Barcelona superstars including Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were ridiculed online for what fans called “Ghostbuster” outifts prior to their clash with Atletico Madrid.
The players donned the funky getup before their 1-0 win over Atletico in Madrid on Sunday which saw them go top of La Liga.

Pictures show the superstars travelling to the Wanda Metropolitan in the bizarre matching outfits.
Khaki pants with five white stripes on the thighs were paired with black shoes.
And to top it off they wore grey sporty sweaters with white sleeves and white shirts underneath.
After the images became public, fans took to social media to voice their opinions on the extravagant attire.
Nachogarciad said: “This is a mix of Ghostbusters, rubbish truck driver and extras in the musical Grease… What style from the FC Barcelona official clothes.”
Ramir0quiroga added: “Haha can someone please arrest the wardrobe person immediately.”
Antoniofisio10 said: “Those street clothes look like the uniform of airport lift and stairs maintenance staff!!
“I also thought it was funny how the stripes on the pants do not have the Estelada.”
The Estelada is an unofficial flag used in Catalonia by independence supporters.
Local media report the outfits came as part of a three-season long deal with American clothing brand Thom Browne in which the players are asked to dress in their clothes to important matches like in the Champions League or against important clubs.
Barcelona won after Messi scored the only goal of the match in the 86th minute as Luis Suarez gave him the assist to secure their 1-0 victory.
The Catalans are first in La Liga level on 31 points with bitter rivals Real Madrid.
Luckily, their plus 20 goal difference puts them ahead of Real who are on plus 19.
Atletico are sixth with 25 points.
