Spurs 3 Bournemouth 2: Dele Alli fires wonder goal as his double gives Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho three straight wins

DELE ALLI’S superb solo goal lit up Jose Mourinho’s third high-scoring win as the new Tottenham boss continued his 100% start.

Back-in-form England midfielder Alli bagged a double and Moussa Sissoko made it three from Son Heung-Min’s second assist of the afternoon, before Harry Wilson’s late double left Spurs clinging on for a victory that put them fifth.

Resurgent Alli tapped a 21st minute opener from Son’s glorious touch before flicking his outstanding second over Aaron Ramsdale soon after the interval.

Sissoko then volleyed his first goal in 69 Premier League games from Son’s cross in the 69th minute.

But Wilson promptly clipped home a brilliant free-kick to spark Bournemouth into belated life.

Cherries’ striker Dominic Solanke fired just wide and Wilson made Spurs sweat with his second goal six minutes into stoppage time.

But Tottenham held on as Mourinho added a third triumph to last Sunday’s 3-2 victory at West Ham and the 4-2 Champions League comeback win over Olympiakos on Tuesday.

STILL LEAKING GOALS

Yet although the former Manchester United and Chelsea chief will be thrilled with the attacking transformation since he succeeded axed Mauricio Pochettino, he will be concerned by their defensive blips.

After the Hammers netted twice after trailing 3-0, Greek champs Olympiakos punished Spurs’ shambolic backline play to go 2-0 up.

And now Bournemouth’s late strikes have underlined what can still happen if Spurs are put under pressure.

So despite his new soft image off the pitch, Mourinho will need to instil some of his old hardness on it.
