CRISTIANO RONALDO is fighting both a dip in form and injury issues but Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has backed the star to recover.
After missing last weekend’s draw with Atalanta, the winger played in the Champions League win over Atletico Madrid but failed to score.

It means Ronaldo went score-less in November, failing to notch in all four games he played throughout the month.
Before Sunday’s Serie A clash with Sassuolo, coach Sarri admitted to being “surprised” by the drought but assured fans that his star man is fully fit and will soon be firing.
The Italian told reporters: “Clearly Ronaldo is something different, our players are not all the same.
“These guys have shown that, if they accept the situation, they are able to do well. If they didn’t accept it it would mainly be a problem for them.
“Cristiano is an immense resource, from a physical point of view I thought he did well in the last game. Late on he ran hard and helped out on defence.
“He must grow in brilliance. Yesterday he did a good workout, partly personalised. It was a remarkable workout, I saw the data.”
Sarri added his hope that Ronaldo wins Monday’s Ballon d’Or award.
Named in the final list of candidates, he will go up against the likes of Lionel Messi and Virgil van Dijk in an award that Sarri doesn’t count for much.
He added: “If you ask me, I think and I hope he wins. If he doesn’t, I’m sorry.
“But for me the individual awards, especially if given by journalists, are worth little.”
