REAL MADRID moved back to the top of La Liga with a vital away win at Alaves thanks to goals from two of their defenders.
Los Blancos captain Sergio Ramos turned from hero to villain after netting the opener before conceding a penalty but Dani Carvajal tapped home to secure the three points.

Gareth Bale also squandered another chance to earn redemption from fans in Spain after he struck the post for a second time this week.
The Welshman was jeered by sections of his own supporters in the league win over Real Sociedad last Saturday, following the outcry over his flag celebrations while on international duty.
The forward smiled holding a banner which said “Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order”, much to the fury of sections of the media in Spain.
But after hitting the woodwork in the Champions League 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain, Bale saw his free header come back off the post.
Things got worse for the former Spurs star, as he was hauled off in response to Alaves’ equaliser minutes Real grabbed the winner.
Captain Sergio Ramos proved to be the headline maker for Zinedine Zidane again as he opened the scoring with a customary flicked header early in the second half.
Less conventional for the Spanish International was his yoga celebration.
Perhaps taking inspiration from rival Mohamed Salah who made headlines for his tree poses following goals against Chelsea and Huddersfield, Ramos shaped himself into the iconic cross-legged position.
Yet he soon turned from hero to villain as former Arsenal striker Lucas Perez equalised from the penalty spot following an elbow on Joselu.
But there was one last twist in the tale, as Carvajal bundled home from close range to earn Real the win four minutes later after Isco’s header had rebounded off the post.
