But writing in her column in today’s SunSport, Hammers chief Brady said: “There’s a lot of talk of leaders under pressure at the moment.

“It’s when they can really show their mettle.

“We all need to find our backbone and most of all we have to stick together.”

Pellegrini takes his team to Chelsea knowing another defeat like the one against Tottenham on Saturday could force the club’s top brass to pull the trigger.

SunSport understands the Hammers will challenge Everton for David Moyes as the managerial sack race hots up.

The tough run facing Everton may earn Marco Silva a stay of execution.

But the Toffees must also move fast if they want a reunion with the man who led them into the Champions League during his 11 years at Goodison Park.

Majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, director of football Marcel Brands and chairman Bill Kenwright met straight after the defeat to the Canaries and more talks were held later in the weekend.

Silva, who replaced Sam Allardyce at Goodison 18 months ago, has spent £226million.

But he has won just 19 of his 51 Prem games in charge, losing 21.
