Ali was banned for six months and fined £10,000 after he was disqualified in fifth round of his fight against Price on March 30.

But he will return to action at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge Arena later this month.

The 27-year-old has teamed up with new trainer Richard Browns as he looks to get his career back on track.

Promoter Dennis Hobson said: “When I’ve seen Kash in the gym working with Richard Towers, he looks a totally different fighter.

“I think this is the start of a really exciting heavyweight journey.

“This is all new to me because I’ve never really had a kid who’s capable of winning anything as a heavyweight, and now we have.

“I think we live in a society where some people are unhappy with themselves and want to vent their frustration on someone who has made a mistake, but taken his punishment.

“Some people don’t want to forgive but hopefully the fans will see that Kash is a good fighter.

“He’s going to take some stick but it’s the pantomime season anyway, and people love a baddie.”

Ali has admitted he is really looking forward to getting back into the ring as he aims for the top.

He said: “I can’t wait to get back and show people the real me. The six month ban has flown by, and I’m really looking forward to getting back in the ring. It’s time to fight again.”

Before he added: “In 2020 I want to be in some big fights. At heavyweight, you’re only a couple of fights away from something big.

“If the British Title opportunity came along then I’d definitely want to fight for it, it’s a prestigious belt.

“I don’t want to stay at British level in the future though, I want to go beyond it.”
