Brugge stars Diatta and Mata sent off in mad celebrations after late equaliser vs Galatasaray

CLUB BRUGGE snatched an injury-time equaliser against Galatasaray – saw TWO players sent off for celebrating it.

It seemed the three points were heading to Turkey in the Champions League Group A encounter as the game ticked past the 90.

But Krepin Diatta had other ideas, and fired home the leveller for 1-1 from just outside the box.

It led to wild celebrations from the Brugge players, with Diatta taking the lead by whipping off his shirt.

But the referee Ivan Kruzliak wasn’t too keen on this, and showed the midfielder his second yellow card and subsequent red.

Clinto Mata was the man who had assisted the equaliser, and he raced to the corner before booting the flag in half.

Kruzliak was determined to play party-pooper and showed the defender his second yellow to send him following Diatta down the tunnel too.

That proved the end of the dramatic action in Belgium as the man in the middle blew for full time in the 99th minute.

Diatta’s goal will likely put his side into the Europa League in the new year.

Brugge have three points to Galatasaray’s two as both fell out of contention for the knockout stage.

This means Real Madrid, on seven points, join Paris St Germain in the last 16 before their clash kicked off in the Spanish capital later.

Galatasaray finish Group A away at PSG while the Belgians host Real also on December 11.

A third place finish would ensure passage to the knockout stage of the second tier Europa League.
