MANCHESTER UNITED staff expect to sign Erling Haaland but are worried the transfer might be complicated by super-agent Mino Raiola’s involvement, according to reports.

The RB Salzburg man has been linked with a number of European juggernauts so far this season after his staggering goalscoring exploits for the Austrian club.

Haaland has bagged an impressive 26 goals from 18 games in all competitions so far this season.

Earlier this month, United were said to be leading the chase after the 19-year-old’s dad – ex Leeds man Alf Inge Haaland – visited the club’s Carrington training complex.

And while United are still confident of signing the forward, there is concern about Raiola’s potential involvement in the deal, according to The Athletic.

The Red Devils have dealt with Raiola before on deals to bring Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the club.

Conflicting reports tell of a fractured relationship with the 52-year-old while some claim there is no problem between the two parties.

Earlier this month, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly told United’s hierarchy to go all out to sign whizkid Haaland, who has an £85million price tag on his head.

It was claimed in Solskjaer’s native Norway the Old Trafford boss is now ready to force through a move after signalling to chiefs how much he is ready to pay.

Haaland, who played under Solskjaer at Molde, has the Champions League theme tune as his morning alarm after becoming top scorer in the competition with seven goals.

Recent reports also suggested United were willing to let the 6ft 4ins giant go back on loan to RB Salzburg for the rest of the season if they signed him in January.
