Deontay Wilder warns ‘don’t blink’ as he vows to smash Luis Ortiz and set up fight with Anthony Joshua vs Ruiz Jr winner

DEONTAY WILDER warned “don’t blink” as he vowed to knock out Luis Ortiz and set up an undisputed title fight.

The Bronze Bomber faces Ortiz, 40, for the second time on Saturday, having won their first bout by KO last year.

Wilder, 34, was given a serious wobble by the Cuban southpaw before he rallied back to win in round ten – and the WBC champion has again promised fireworks.

He said: “Don’t blink, this is war – you already know what to expect. This fight will not go the distance.

“Get your popcorn, get your pizza, go to the bathroom, don’t let anyone disturb you.

“Don’t drop your cell phone, put it in your pocket, because you don’t want to be the one who dropped it and look up and say ‘what happened?’.

“As I always say, these guys have to be perfect for 12 rounds, I only need to be perfect for two seconds, and then in the blink of an eye it’s bam baby, goodnight!

“I feel like I’m the best in the world, I know I’m the best in the world. I say it boldly, I say it with confidence and with pride.”

Wilder already has his next fight pencilled in, with a rematch against Tyson Fury set for February 22 in Las Vegas.

But the heavy-hitter is so confident of holding on to his belt, he has targeted an undisputed title fight between the winner of unified champion Andy Ruiz Jr and Anthony Joshua – who rematch on December 7.

Wilder said: “After this fight, I’m looking forward to the rematch with Fury.

“Then after I knock Fury out I’m looking forward to the winner of Joshua – Ruiz.

“Hopefully it’s Ruiz because if Joshua get it, I don’t think it’s going to be unification bout.

“But if Ruiz get it [the win], being that we’re in the same stable, it’ll be an easier fight to make.

“It’ll be the one that people say we finally have a unification in the heavyweight division and it will be Deontay Wilder.”
