OLD Trafford is the likely next destination for Mauricio Pochettino following his sacking by Tottenham – with Bayern Munich also in the running, according to the bookies.
The Argentine, 47, was given the boot – and replaced by Jose Mourinho – with Spurs 14th in the Premier League.
Man Utd are favourites to snatch up Pochettino after his Spurs sacking
Now long-term admirers Manchester United could land their man – and are 11/4 favourites with Ladbrokes to do just that.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Poch’s stock is still incredibly high with a whole host of European giants in the running to tempt him into their dugouts.
“But as things stand it looks like United could soon be welcoming the Argentine.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got off to a flying start to life at Man Utd last December – replacing now-Spurs boss Jose Mourinho as the managerial merry-go-round rages on.
But his stock has cooled rapidly in recent months, with United struggling to compete with the top clubs in the Premier League.
While United have enjoyed a mini-uptick in their fortunes in the past few weeks, there is still talk Solskjaer could be given the boot – particularly with an elite boss like Poch on the market.
While United are 11/4 to land Pochettino, Bayern Munich are snapping at their heels at just 3/1 as they look to replace Niko Kovac.
Hans-Dieter Flick is currently serving as interim boss at the Bundesliga champions after Kovac’s sacking earlier this month.
Much like Bayern, Real Madrid have failed to hit top gear this season – and Zinedine Zidane is very much in the cross-hairs of Florentino Perez.
They too are long-term admirers of Pochettino – and are 7/2 to sign the former Southampton boss next.
Paris Saint-Germain (7/1), Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal (10/1), AC Milan and Juventus (both 12/1) are also in contention, according to the bookies.
