MANCHESTER UNITED are set to welcome back Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot and Scott McTominay from injury – but Paul Pogba remains sidelined.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to boast a near-full-strength squad for this weekend’s game against high-flying Sheffield United.
How Man Utd could line-up this weekend against Sheff Utd, including Shaw
Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay are both fighting to be fit for Sunday
Man Utd will be hoping to build on their convincing 3-1 win over Brighton – and could be boosted by returning stars.
Solskjaer is set to ease fans’ fears over McTominay, after Scotland boss Steve Clarke called his injury “nasty”.
During the international break, Clarke claimed: “Scott has done well and has had a really good season. He has picked up a nasty-looking injury.”
But it appears McTominay is set to recover from the knock – picked up after scoring in the win over Brighton.
Sunday’s game against the Blades could come too soon for the Scot – but it’s an encouraging sign for the in-form midfielder.
Meanwhile, Shaw is set to make his return having been out with a hamstring injury since August.
The English left-back has returned to training and will be in contention.
However, United fans may prefer youngster Brandon Williams to continue in defence after his superb – and aggressive – start to life in the first-team.
Dalot (hip and groin), Axel Tuanzebe (hip) and Nemanja Matic (unspecified) are all racing to be in contention too as they continue their recoveries.
Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are both long-term injury worries.
This weekend will also come far too soon for star midfielder Pogba – who is set to be out until at least December with an ankle problem.
The French star, 26, has been in Miami during the international break – and was seen working out in a gym before going to watch the Heat in the NBA.
While in the US, Pogba also hung out with music superstar Pharrell Williams an Miami Heat ace Jimmy Butler.
