Watch Marcus Rashford’s incredible double piece of skill for England at Kosovo which ‘reminds fans of Man Utd Ronaldo’

MARCUS RASHFORD’S sublime showboating against Kosovo had fans comparing him to Manchester United-era Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gareth Southgate’s side dismantled their rivals 4-0 in Pristina thanks to goals from Harry Winks, Harry Kane, Rashford and Mason Mount.

Kane made history by becoming the first England player to score in every European Championship qualifier.

But it was Rashford – a second-half sub for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi – who really caught the eye.

And two amazing pieces of skill in quick succession showed exactly why.

First, Rashford is shown running at speed towards right-back Mergim Vojvoda, who he then nutmegs with total ease.

Free from him and cutting in from the left wing, Rashford then changes direction on a sixpence by tapping the ball behind him with his heel.

Kosovo star Besar Halimi faces absolutely no chance of stopping him and crumples to the floor in a heap as Rashford creates more space.

No wonder fans were purring when comparing him to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

One said: “Rashford plays like Ronaldo when he’s with England.”

Another posted: “That Ronaldo chop was beautiful”.

A fellow user wrote: “Rashford reminds me of Man United Ronaldo.”

One said: “Like watching the great CR7.”

Another comment read: “Ronaldo used to do that. Rashford suddenly found his confidence again.”

Some were quick to pour water on the comparisons, though, with one writing: “Minus the 30 goals and 15 assists.”

Rashford drew more comparisons to Ronaldo – who has shot down claims of a rift with Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri – after his wondergoal against Chelsea.

The England star’s thunderbolt free-kick in the Carabao Cup drew comparisons to Ronaldo’s knuckleball against Portsmouth in 2008.

Rashford has nine goals in all competitions for United this season, who sit seventh in the Premier League.
