MARCUS RASHFORD has revealed he has fulfilled his dream of playing for Manchester United after sharing an inspiring letter he wrote as an 11-year-old.
But not even he could have predicted he could have been so important to United at the age of just 22.

Rashford, who scored in England’s 7-0 thrashing of Montenegro last night, has started in each of United’s 12 league matches this season, scoring six goals in the process.
Since making his league debut in the 2015-16 campaign, Rashford has already gone on to make 187 appearances for the Red Devils.
And a letter that his mum dug out proved that the England superstar – who scored in last night’s 7-0 win over Montenegro – has already achieved his lofty ambitions.
Under the header Future and Aims, he writes: “I hope that my future is very bright in and out of school especially my career as a footballer.
“I want to have a different lifestyle and make my family and others proud of me.
“I only have one aim in life and that is to be a professional football, and hopefully at Manchester United.”
Then he talks about his progress so far that begins with: “I have experienced a lot of things associated with Manchester United and with school.”
It then concludes with the promise: “I promise that I will work my hardest and I will try my best to become, a professional footballer.”
Rashford then commented again on the letter and even mocked his own spelling error.
Alongside a picture of his celebrating a recent goal with a somersault, he wrote: “That was 11. This is 22.
“Having fun but still taking nothing for grantage/ granted.”
Rashford must have been feeling in nostalgic mood after his report card from the age of ten went viral.
The striker filled in his answers to questions such as where his strengths are, how he can get better and who the best Under-11 player is.
Asked what his strengths are, he put down: “My strengths are my pace and skill.”
Quizzed on where he needs to get better, Rashford, now 22, wrote: “I need to improve on my left foot.”
