LIVERPOOL ace Federico Chiesa poses as a major question mark ahead of his team’s imminent Premier League coronation.
The Reds are almost certain to lift only their second Prem title soon as they top the table with a staggering 13 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
But among all the certainty there is one major doubt and it surrounds the Merseysiders’ only signing of the summer in Chiesa, 27.
The winger joined Arne Slot’s side after a £10million up-front deal with Juventus and moved to Anfield immediately unlike other signing Giorgi Mamardashvili, who remained at Valencia on loan.
However, a raft of injuries have limited the Italy international to a mere 12 appearances across all competitions this season.
And only four of them took place in the Premier League, where he has only managed a grand total of 33 minutes – none of which as a starter.

That begs the question on whether Chiesa is entitled to a Prem winners’ medal.
But thankfully for the Italian technician, the answer is most likely yes.
Players used to have to play five Premier League games but now the champions get 40 medals to give out at their own discretion to anyone within squad – that includes players and coaches.
All players who have made five appearances are required to get a medal, but beyond that the winning club can do whatever it likes.

Chiesa is only one match from meeting the required amount and is likely to get his opportunity as fatigue piles up for Slot’s starters.
And if the Prem high-fliers manage to mathematically seal their 20th English title by April 27 the earliest then there is no reason why the dutch tactician can’t hand opportunities to peripheral players.
Liverpool team-mate Harvey Elliott played just seven minutes in the historic 2019/20 title-winning campaign across two appearances, but former manager Jurgen Klopp ensured that he got a medal.
And on the official club site, Andy Lonergan as well as Caoimhin Kelleher are listed among 26 title-winning members, so they presumably got medals despite not playing a single minute in the top flight.
