‘Build him a statue’: Cole Palmer leaves Chelsea fans speechless with moment of genius in Newcastle clash

The Blues star briefly put the host’s ahead at Stamford Bridge until it was ruled out by VAR.

But what followed minutes later was simply sublime as Palmer produced a stunning through ball to Pedro Neto.

Neto was too fast for Fabian Schar and squared it to Nicolas Jackson for the opener.

But it was Palmer who took the plaudits for his stunning pass as one fan said: “Build a statue for Cole Palmer man. I’ve seen enough.”

Another added: “Cole Palmer is out of this world.”
