‘Nobody has survived’, says Tyson Fury as he reveals fact about his career ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch

TYSON FURY warned he is an expert in rematches – in a warning to Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk became the first four-belt undisputed champion in heavyweight history after taking Fury’s WBC title and unbeaten record in May.

And now the two prepare to do it all over again back in Riyadh on December 21.

It will be Fury’s fourth career rematch, having faced John McDermott twice as well as Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora three times.

And Fury was quick to remind Usyk that he won all three of the rematch bouts heading into their return in Saudi Arabia.

He said ahead of the console release of boxing video game Undisputed: “It’s given me a little bit of a lift.

“Now I’ve got something really to return for. And here’s the interesting fact, in two decades, no one has ever survived the rematch with me.

“Of all the rematches I’ve had, with John McDermott, the trilogies with Chisora, trilogy with Wilder and I’m going into a rematch for this.

“I’ve stopped every one of them or knocked them. So yeah, I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Usyk, 37, was forced to vacate the IBF belt to proceed with his December 21 rematch with Fury, 36, back in Riyadh.

Daniel Dubois, 27, meanwhile inherited the belt after being elevated from interim champ and knocked out Anthony Joshua, 34, in his first defence.

And Fury reckons he will need a similar performance to guarantee victory over undefeated Usyk.

He said: “There’s no secret – I’m going in there to knock him out because I don’t think I’m gonna get a decision no matter what I do.

“So I have to take it out of the judges’ hands. I believe I have to get him out of there.”
