The pair fought to a split decision draw in Dublin as both of their hands were raised at the end of the contest.

But not before one of Simpson’s right hands left internet sensation Aarons completely unrecognisable.

The 2016 Premier League title winner caught Aarons on the button as his face contorted into a messy state.

But the YouTuber did manage to recover to earn a draw, before the pair agreed to a rematch.

Simpson said: “I think Danny knows that I tried to jump in last minute.

“Maybe I’ll get the chance to have it again with a full camp and learn to box a bit more. I’d love to come back and have the opportunity.”

And Aarons added: “Nothing but respect for Simpson, a draw it is what it is. We’ll run it back.”

It comes after the two made a bet in the build-up to the fight.

The pace of the fight was frantic from the get-go as both came out swinging.

Aarons looked to have Simpson in trouble before the former footballer found his feet and returned fire.

Simpson landed some telling jabs and had his opponent bloodied from the nose.

Both landed wild shots and fought till the end with the judges unable to split them.
