Despite the fact they’ve won a combined one league title between them in the last 11 years, Manchester United vs Liverpool remains one of – if not the – biggest game in English football.
This rivalry goes back decades and it’s still as big as ever, with the latest instalment coming on Sunday.
United scored late to snatch all three points against Fulham on the opening weekend, before an even later concession against Brighton to lose 2-1 last time out.
Erik ten Hag’s men haven’t won any of the last five meetings against the Anfield side – though that did include a 3-0 drubbing in pre-season.
Liverpool’s two league games have both ended in 2-0 wins as Arne Slot continues to get his ideas across.
The scores are probably not as dominant as the performances show, partly down to a little lack of clinical edge, having hit 18 shots at Ipswich and 19 shots against Brentford last time out.

Man Utd are still without Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro for the weekend, with Mason Mount also a doubt having been subbed with an injury last week.
Matthijs de Ligt and Alejandro Garnacho have come off the bench in both games so far and are looking for a start – Garnacho in particular.
Liverpool aren’t expected to make any changes to the team that started last week, meaning Ibrahima Konate keeping his place at centre-back.
Diogo Jota is expected to lead the line.
