Ange Postecoglou’s side have been in South Korea this week as they step up their preparations for the upcoming Premier League season.

After beating a K-League All Stars team 4-3 on Wednesday, Spurs took on Bayern at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Despite being without Harry Kane, who continues to rest following England’s run to the Euro 2024 final, Vincent Kompany’s side dominated Tottenham.

The Bundesliga giants took the lead barely three minutes into the contest, when Gabriel Vidovic profited on a shambolic mix-up between Guglielmo Vicario and Djed Spence.

Leon Goretzka doubled Bayern’s advantage on 56 minutes, converting into the roof of the net from close range.

With Tottenham looking dead and buried, Porro’s 66th minute strike gave them a lifeline.

The 24-year-old collected the ball around 40 yards from goal, immediately driving forward with it.

He then belted an incredible shot beyond Sven Ulreich and into the corner.

A third claimed: “Only player in the first half that looked good.”

And another swooned: “Put him as striker!! Bale reincarnated..”

Following a raft of substitutions, a youthful Spurs side pushed for what had seemed an unlikely equaliser.

But they were unable to find one, falling to their first defeat of pre-season.

Spurs will quickly have a chance to take revenge on Bayern, as they’ll host them at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next weekend.

It remains to be seen whether Harry Kane will be involved back at his former North London home.
