MANCHESTER UNITED end their pre-season tour of the United States with a huge clash against fierce rivals Liverpool.
The Red Devils beat Real Betis 3-2 in their last outing – but the positive result was clouded with injuries to two first team regualrs.
Rashford got his first goal of pre-season from the penalty spot against the LaLiga side, but the English forward was taken off with an injury – and later in the match, Antony was also forced off.
It comes after new £52million defender Leny Yoro faces three months out with a foot injury and Rasmus Hojlund is unavailable for six weeks – as Erik ten Hag faces a headache ahead of the start of the season.
Liverpool go into the clash with United on the back of an impressive 2-1 win over last season’s Premier League runners-up Arsenal.
The Reds have enjoyed pre-season under Jurgen Klopp’s successor Arne Slot – and will be hoping for a good campaign under the new gaffer.
