Casemiro narrowly avoids nasty injury after ‘ridiculous’ tackle that ‘nearly cost Man Utd £30million’

MANCHESTER UNITED star Casemiro almost suffered a horrible injury during a FRIENDLY.

United were beaten 1-0 by Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadion in Norway in the first match of their pre-season tour.

And the Red Devils’ manager Erik ten Hag almost saw last season’s shocking injury crisis restart just 18 minutes into the game.

Rosenborg’s Tomas Nemcik tried to move the ball forward but was stopped by Casemiro.

In his bid to win the ball back, Nemcik rammed the Brazilian’s shin with his left foot and almost snapped his leg in half.

The Slovakian saw a yellow card and thankfully the United star was able to get back up to his feet.

The Manchester giants’ fans were left in absolute shock at that sight and quickly stormed social media.

One supporter tweeted: “That tackle has NO reason to happen. Nearly cost us 20-30mil with one challenge.”

Another posted: “Casemiro getting snapped today.”

A third wrote: “If they had broken Casemiro’s leg I would’ve been P****D..”

Casemiro looked certain to be a high-profile summer exit as he has received interest from Saudi Arabia.

Man Utd were under the cosh for most of the game but looked like they would hold out for a draw thanks to stand-in goalkeeper Radek Vitek.

However, Noah Holm netted with virtually the last kick of the game to give the Norwegians the scalp of the Red Devils.
