BBC commentator Guy Mowbray left Alan Shearer baffled with a comment about Alvaro Morata’s career.
Morata – known to move around top European sides – started up front for Spain in the Euro 2024 final against England.
And his club career was hailed by the Beeb’s lead commentator Mowbray – but with a weird comment.
He said: “He’s always been a hard worker, Alvaro Morata.
“Might not have really done it at Chelsea but what a CV. Atletico Madrid, two spells at Real Madrid, two spells at Juventus.
“Goodness me he doesn’t do half (clubs)… don’t ask me what a half club is!”

Shearer then joked: “I was thinking, ‘Explain?'”
The Premier League legend is not unfamiliar with his own one-liners in the commentary box.
When England beat Switzerland in the quarter-final on penalties he came up with the “pressure is for tyres” line.
But Mowbray explained: “He only does the biggest clubs, you know what I mean.”

Morata first made his name with Real Madrid with four seasons in their first team before leaving for Juventus in 2014.
He spent two years with Juve before moving to Chelsea in 2017 but he then joined Atletico Madrid on loan in 2019 for a season.
The striker went onto sign for Atletico in 2020 but he then returned to Juventus for two campaigns on loan.
He has since returned to the Spanish capital and scored 21 in 48 games last season.
Morata has captained Spain in the Euros in Germany and featured in all their games – scoring the once.
And he later led Spain to dramatic 2-1 victory in the final with Mikel Oyarzabal scoring the late winner.
