Ex-Hull City and Burton Albion ace Irvine was due to tie the knot with longtime partner Jemilla in Denmark on Tuesday.

But the hungover 31-year-old forgot to bring his passport to the ceremony, and Danish officials refused to marry the pair.

Tattooist Jemilla posted a picture of herself and Irvine on Instagram.

She wrote: “When you’ve been drunk for 2 days and forget to take your passport to your marriage appointment,” followed by three clown emojis.

Irvine made one senior Celtic appearance in 2012 after arriving from Melbourne Victory two years before.

He went on to play for Kilmarnock and Ross County, with Burton paying a club record £330,000 for him in 2016.

Irvine spent three seasons with Hull before returning to Scotland with Hibs in 2021.
