Transfer recommendations ahead of Gameweek 35 – Noni Madueke among tempting differentials

EVERY transfer counts at this late stage of the season.

Ahead of Gameweek 35, the majority of Dream Team managers will be focused on the six teams set to fulfil two fixtures: Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Brighton, Newcastle and Tottenham.

With this in mind, allow us to suggest some recommendations…

Noni Madueke (£3.1m)

Chelsea’s No11 is among the tempting differential options for Gameweek 35 with a current ownership of just 0.2%!

The 22-year-old didn’t do his reputation any favours when he attempted to take a penalty off Cole Palmer (£5.4m) a few weeks back but there’s no doubt his performances have improved lately.

In fact, Madueke is statistically the third-most in-form midfielder in the game right now having added 34 points to his tally across his last three outings.

His 17-point return against West Ham last time out was his best haul of the season – he scored one goal and assisted another as the Blues thrashed the Hammers 5-0.

More broadly, he’s notched four goals and three assists in his last ten games during a spell in which Mauricio Pochettino’s side have looked increasingly effective.

Chelsea arguably have the most-favourable double header in Gameweek 35 in the form of Nottingham Forest and Brighton.

Manchester City assets will be hugely popular this week and with good reason.

Not only are they among the six teams with two fixtures this coming Gameweek (against Fulham and Spurs) they are guaranteed a game in Gameweek 37 thanks to the FA Cup final.

Generally, Pep Guardiola’s defenders have underwhelmed this season but Gvardiol has done his best to rectify that in recent weeks.

The Croatia international has plundered 52 points from his last six games and 77 points from his last ten appearances.

This fruitful run has featured four clean sheets, three goals and two assists.

City assets are always at risk of rotation but Gvardiol’s form should earn him the bulk of the remaining minutes this term.

Erling Haaland (£6.9m), Phil Foden (£5.8m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£6.2m) all fall under the category of blindingly obvious transfer suggestions this week.

Bruno Guimaraes (£4.4m)

We’ve tipped Alexander Isak (£4.6m) and Anthony Gordon (£4m) often enough in recent weeks so there’s no need to repeat ourselves in that regard.

But let’s throw Newcastle’s all-action midfielder into the mix as well.

Guimaraes is Dream Team’s bonus point king having racked up 76 of them this season – only seven other players have more than 50 to their name.

And he’s been among the goal involvements since the start of February with five goals and four assists across the last 13 Gameweeks.

The Brazilian averages 5.8 points-per-game this campaign and so it’s reasonable to expect a double-digit haul from him in Gameweek 35 with the in-form Magpies set to take on Brighton and Manchester United.
