KATE ABDO’S boxing coach boyfriend revealed Jamie Carragher apologised for his “not loyal” joke made live on TV.
Carragher made the awkward dig while working on CBS Sports with presenter Abdo.
He quipped “not to Malik” after host Abdo said she was loyal to her beloved Manchester United, prompting her to ask: “Why would you even ask that?”
Scott – a former heavyweight boxer who now coaches Deontay Wilder – initially did not take well to the joke.
And he threatened to “show up in a physical manner” if Carragher upset his partner again.
But Scott was later pictured with the Liverpool legend and they were all smiles alongside Abdo.

Now the retired boxer revealed Carragher apologised and the beef has been squashed.
He told Casino Online In: “Jamie had an off moment and said something he shouldn’t have said – how many times in life have we all done that?
“You chop it up and apologise like men, which he did, and life goes on. I respect anyone who has a mishap and is man enough to apologise to the person and the person’s partner. I felt no ill feelings when we met.
“The thing that Jamie said, Kate was hurt, but they all made up and handled it collectively at the time.

“I said my piece on it, but the real thing is, we all got together and looked into each other’s eyes and had great food and great conversations.
“I never had a strong opinion about Jamie Carragher, only about the things that he said, but meeting him, I really enjoyed the man’s company.
“I have the utmost respect for him, as well as the rest of the panel.”
Scott, who is currently training Wilder for his return fight against Zhilei Zhang, enjoyed lunch with Carragher, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry.
He revealed: “It was a good thing that I spoke up for my partner, I was standing up for the person I love.
“But I have nothing but the utmost respect for Jamie, Micah and Thierry.
“I love them to death and it was great to go over there and shake their hands.
“We had lunch and laughed. Thierry and I shared tips on film study. It was very intriguing and refreshing to have a legend like him break down the details of his football world.
“Even Jamie, there’s something I admire about him, he was a great player in his time, he’s doing a great job on television and he’s always smiling.
“And Micah is the humour source of their show, they’re the best panel.”
Fighting Kates
Scott has also been coaching Abdo ahead of a potential Misfits Boxing debut in the summer.
The former Sky Sports reporter, 42, opened the door to a fight with former glamour model Katie Price, 45.
And Scott warned: “Kate has been offered some Misfits action, the dates have to line up. We all know who will train her for it.
“It’s something we’re going to take on when the time’s right, most likely it won’t be as early as this summer, but look out for it. She can really fight.

“She’s technically very good and has a great work ethic. Technically her base is very good and she throws strong combinations.
“She’s knowledgeable about boxing because of her job. She’s very interested in putting the skills she’s learnt from her partner into practice and I’m backing her. We haven’t picked an opponent yet.”
