PETER CROUCH has recalled the moment “we are definitely going to die” after a horror motorway incident with Vinnie Jones.
The Premier League legends linked up for a game of golf after running into each other on holiday.
Crouch and Jones are both keen putters.
And after lighting up England’s top flight, albeit in different eras, they decided to put their golf skills to the test abroad.
Crouch and Jones jumped in a cab and headed for the nearest course.
However, their driver missed the turn-off while driving on the motorway.

And a furious Jones made him REVERSE back down the hard shoulder until they were back at the correct exit.
But Crouch feared the two men were going to die while moving AGAINST the oncoming flow of traffic.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, he said: “I was on holiday and bumped into Vinnie Jones. We got a cab and were on our way to play golf.
“The driver was a quiet, lovely fella and he went the wrong way on the motorway, missed our junction.

“Vinnie was in the front and went to him, ‘You’ve gone the wrong f*****g way!’

“We managed to get back to the route we were meant to take and carried on as normal.
“Honestly my heart was in my mouth. It wasn’t the best thing to do but we did it and we got to golf on time!”
Crouch retired from football in 2019 after banging in goals for Tottenham, Liverpool and Stoke.
Hie first pro appearance came in 1999 at Dulwich Hamlet — a year after Jones had retired from the beautiful game.

And after leaving football, he went on to become a successful Hollywood actor in films such as Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and The Midnight Meat Train.
