Man Utd are p**sing off other teams, they should be a classy outfit who do business in the right way, says club legend

MANCHESTER UNITED are at risk of “p**sing” off other clubs by going about business the wrong way, according to club legend Andy Cole.

The club’s future is currently uncertain, with players fearing that manager Erik ten Hag has resigned himself to the sack.

SunSport exclusively revealed this week that a number of stars have noticed a change of mood in the Dutchman.

And with new part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe refusing to give a vote of confidence, his future at Old Trafford could be in doubt.

Graham Potter is understood to be in line for the job having already snubbed an offer from Ajax.

Ratcliffe is also planning a complete player overhaul, with Jarrad Branthwaite, Ivan Toney and Max Kilman all linked.

However, ex-United star Cole has urged Ratcliffe not to risk “p**sing off” other clubs in the process.

In an interview with Betfred, the 52-year-old said: “Manchester United are interested in everybody.

“Jarrad Branthwaite at Everton has also been mentioned too and I, like everybody else, is unsure about what’s actually happening at the club at the moment.

“There’s talk about Jason Wilcox and Dan Ashworth coming in and at the moment, it seems as if Manchester United are pissing off a lot of clubs. That’s not what the club is all about.

“Manchester United are a classy outfit and there’s no point in them pissing other clubs off because they may need them later down the road.

“They should go about their business in the right way and I see them linked with some many players or staff and I just think to myself, ‘come on man, this is Manchester United.’

“At this present moment in time, it just seems as if we’re p**sing everybody off and that’s not good.

“You don’t hear about Real Madrid p**sing everybody off or Barcelona p**sing everybody off or Liverpool p**sing everybody off.

“Everybody has this fixation about Manchester United, but everything you hear about them isn’t good news and there’s a big cloud over the club at the moment.”

Changes are also being made behind the scenes at Old Trafford, with football director John Murtough stepping down.

Newcastle sporting director Dan Ashworth is expected to replace him, with Southampton’s director of football Jason Wilcox also set to make the switch.

Former chief executive Richard Arnold has also left the club, with Omar Berrada already appointed as his replacement.
