‘Not sure we were ready for that’ – Fans lose their minds as Roy Keane says ‘sexy football’ to describe bitter rivals


ROY KEANE stunned fans by describing Liverpool’s football as “sexy” during their win over Brighton.

Jurgen Klopp’s men returned to the top of the Premier League table on Sunday as they claimed a 2-1 victory, while title rivals Manchester City and Arsenal played out a goalless draw.

And during coverage of the weekend’s action, Manchester United icon Keane surprised viewers by hailing rivals Liverpool.

The praise came as he watched The Reds’ second goal against Brighton – which saw Alexis Mac Allister slide Mo Salah in to score with a sumptuous through ball.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “He is a smart footballer [Mac Allister], I’ll tell you that – I’m usually impressed with him and his decision making.

“And again, like anything else, when you just speed things up in the final third, he gets it here.

“The execution, the weight of the pass, the first touch from Mohamed Salah – beautiful.

“Sexy football to me, this, love watching it.”

The comment led to a huge reaction on social media as fans were left in disbelief at the Man Utd legend’s remarks.

One said: “Did Roy Keane just call it sexy football? 😭.”
